What Are The Top Ten Vacation Islands To Go In 2009

The top ten vacation islands may vary according to the preference of each traveler. Before starting, ask yourself the question, what you really look for in a vacation island? For myself, I like islands with good environmental landscape that have a variety in its scenery.
My first choice would definitely be Hawaii. There are so many things to do in Hawaii. It provides spectacular beaches, amazing waterfalls, it has a rain forest and most of all seeing the erupting volcano nearby is a spectacular phenomenon to watch and who can forget the hola dance.
The next would be Bermuda of the Caribbean Islands. It has a creamy white beach with a touch of pink on it, amazing forest and its magnificent green waves that splashes in the seashore is amazing.
Phuket in Thailand has magnificent beaches and also they have an elephant for an added tourist attraction.
Next on the list would be San Juan in Caribbean. The architectural structure is an art in itself. Its Spanish influenced building and cobble stoned streets best complement each other.
Palawan Island in the Philippines is the island that is on fifth place. It offers not only its beaches but it has miles Long River in one of its caves.
The sixth place would be the Maldives of the Indian Ocean. Its blue clear waters and its beaches is magnificent to watch. It is somewhat unspoiled and fresh on the eyes.
Santorini, Greece offers probably has the best sunset. It has also its historical appeal which makes it even more interesting.
The next place in my list would go to Bora Bora of French Polynesia. One of their main attractions is their natives which showcase their ethnicity.
Sicily, Italy is one of my favorite vacation destinations in Europe. They really do have good pasta, wineries and do not forget the spaghetti. The people there is very cordial and interesting.
The last and definitely not the least would belong to Fraser Island in Australia. It has a magnificent rain forest. It offers also various exotic animals like the dingoes. Most of all, whale watching, is something the tourist are looking forward.
